D-Link DE-853 ... directly attach to the host's AUI connector, dispensing users of the cumbersome AUI cable and the extra cost. This feature allows the transceivers to work with all hosts, whether they support the Signal Quality Error function ("heart beat") or not. SQE ON/OFF is selected via a switch. Diagnostic LED report is provided for data collision and jabber. In addition, LED report is also provided network status (Tx, Rx).
