The ServerIronSA series is designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding Enterprise, Service Provider and E-Commerce customers. Transparent client-less compression of Web traffic reduces the bandwidth utilized over WAN links, and also improves user download time with fewer page downloads for dial-up ISP subscribers. ServerIronSA Series are designed to automatically detect browser settings for client's ability to accept compressed content and the content types that can be compressed. This information is used to dynamically apply compression to content as it flows from the servers to clients without any manual settings and operational intervention.

The ServerIronSA accelerators, when co-deployed with Foundry's market-leading ServerIron Layer 4-7 application switches, deliver the most secure, highly scalable and always-on application and server farm infrastructure. ServerIron application switches transparently support and optimize Web and non-Web applications while the ServerIronSA accelerators provide added benefit of SSL acceleration and bandwidth compression specifically to Web applications. The combination of these two products offers the best scalability, performance and investment protection to customers.

ServerIronSA 800 provides up to 11, 000 new SSL connections per second with 700 Mbps application throughput and 100, 000 concurrent SSL connections. It features dual AC power supplies for added redundancy.
