Levelone Voicecon VOI-2000 ... fax data over IP networks. VOI-2000 adapts H.323 protocol to provide advanced Internet telephony solutions and ensure compatibility with most popular VoIP equipment. For bandwidth management, this device offers Voice Activity Detection (VAD) that releases unused call bandwidths for data traffic while also featuring Comfort Noise Generation (CNG) function at the receiving terminal so the user knows the line has not dropped.

Concerning voice codec, VOI-2000 also supports voice compression standards such as G.711, G.723 and G.729 A/B. These standards minimize the bandwidth requirement for voice transmission while still providing high quality voice reproduction. This system supports G.168, Echo Cancellation which is located in the 4-wire portion of the circuit used for echo reduction by digitally subtracting an estimated echo from the circuit echo.

Each of the two FXS interface allows VOI-2000 to connect directly to a phone, fax machine or PBX facility. VOI-2000 is friendly to setup and install with minimum configuration by Web-based management interface, console port or Telnet. Administrators can monitor device/network status or maintenance service through a general Internet browser or telnet session. To keep up with future technology, software download and upgrades are easily done via network with the built-in TFTP and flash memory.
