Advantages: This camera is well made takes lots of bashes and still works water and sand resistant Disadvantages: Bit on the heavy side
I have been in the Army for ten years and when on night patrol we carry two night sight cameras our secondary camera is the Bushnell Savana 2.5x42. The camera is rugged and works well out doors in all weathers. I do find that sand can sometimes effect the lens but if you clean out the sand from where the lens joins the camera base you shouldnt have any issues and its also pretty water resistant. I believe the camera comes boxed with a head strap which we have modified to fit onto helmets. The camera is nearly three kilograms in weight which can feel quite strange to manage but after an hour or so it becomes almost second nature. Although when you first start using it your back and neck will probably hurt a bit as your body gets used to the new way of holding your head and extra weight. Summary: I have used this camera for the last eight months and its a real life saver a must for everyone |
