Advantages: This camera is well made takes lots of bashes and still works water and sand resistant

Disadvantages: Bit on the heavy side

I have been in the Army for ten years and when on night patrol we carry two night sight cameras our secondary camera is the Bushnell Savana 2.5x42. The camera is rugged and works well out doors in all weathers. I do find that sand can sometimes effect the lens but if you clean out the sand from where the lens joins the camera base you shouldnt have any issues and its also pretty water resistant. I believe the camera comes boxed with a head strap which we have modified to fit onto helmets. The camera is nearly three kilograms in weight which can feel quite strange to manage but after an hour or so it becomes almost second nature. Although when you first start using it your back and neck will probably hurt a bit as your body gets used to the new way of holding your head and extra weight.
The camera ticks all the boxes for me and works very well as a night site and shows very good viability in almost pitch darkness you will need a bit of moon light to really see the benefits of the camera you need some light for the night site to work as it amplifys the existing light a number of times. The battery in the camera works well we charge our batteries most nights and after three hours its fully charged and lasts a good six to eight hours enough time to complete our project and get home safely.
In conclusion this camera is fantastic a bit on the heavy side but does everything it says on the box a must for everyone who is outdoors or in the army

Summary: I have used this camera for the last eight months and its a real life saver a must for everyone
