      Tekken 3D Packs A Punch!

Tekken is one of the best games on the market today. I am a huge fan of the game series and have played most of the other games also. When I received this game for Christmas, I immediately played and I wasn't disappointed.

This may have been a 3D game but to be honest, I don't often use the 3D feature because I find 3D hurts my eyes after a few minutes. However, you don't need to use the 3D feature in order to play Tekken, you can play in standard definition which is just as good in my opinion.

I was surprised with the graphics and how authentic they look. I didn't think the graphics would be as good on a smaller screen and thought standard definition wouldn't offer the best. However, I thought the graphics were perfect in both 2 and 3D but I still prefer the 2D graphics for my eyes!

There is some background music to listen to during the fights which are OK but I don't really listen to the music. Though, a big problem for me, with the game is that there wasn't a story mode. There is usually a story mode on most other platforms I've played Tekken games before but with the Nintendo 3DS there isn't one. However, that isn't so bad and its not a massive turnoff point, but it would have been nice to have the story mode as it offers a small movie at the end which you can see what happens after the final fight.

Nonetheless, I love the game. The Arcade and VS Modes are both fantastic and for those just starting out with this game, there is a Practice Mode. This mode helps to give new users their baring when it comes to character control and fight moves. Though, I have also played the Survival Mode which allows players to go through 1 round fights with as many characters before the life bar runs out. This is a good mode though my best Mode is the Arcade Mode.

However, the game does have a lot of characters to choose from. There has to be over thirty and that is just the ones I've counted. There is the usual characters such as Jin, Law, Lei, Kazaya and Paul but there are dozens more including Devil Jin. The game controls are easy to work also.

For me, one of the best features with the game, is the feature length movie Blood Vengeance. This is installed on the game cartridge which is just fantastic and I don't think I've seen a movie on another game before either! It all centers on the character Jin and his family with a few of the game character's included too but its a good movie to help dig a little deeper into the Tekken story.

Overall, the game is fantastic. I wasn't disappointed and even though there is no story mode, the Arcade Mode is good enough to play. Any Tekken fan would love to play this game.
