Advantages: great graphics

Disadvantages: can get annoying

Adventure - 1 Player Where do I start? This game is HUGE, and by no means over hyped, the graphics on this game are absolutly amazing, the attention to detail that only Rare spot, as seen before in Banjo-Kazooie is once again present in this Rare Masterpiece. Although not quite as Unique as Banjo-Kazooie, the game boasts 5 playable charachters: DK, Diddy, Lanky, Tiny and CHUNKY, with more in the multiplayer mode. The main storyline to the game is that K. Rool wants Dk island...Blown Up!!! So in order to distract DK he steals his Bananas and imprisons his 4 friends. The main aim in the Game is to regain all 201 of the stolen 200 GOLDEN bananas, yes you heard right 201! This is just 1 small dose of all the spark and life that Rare have put into the game, there are quite a number of worlds some with very common themes, ie. Desert, Galleon etc, with some not so common additions like Frantic Factory! The feel of the game is very much like Banjo-Kazooie in the way that you have a high up 3D perspective of your charachter, added to which you can alter the camera angles, in and out and round the charachter. Controlling the charachter is pretty simple although you to tend to find the camera is squeezed in to small places to get the best view possible and don't be surprised if you see you charachter running towards you...the camera will pan round...but watch out for baddies! The bosses in the game are very good, probably the most graphically sound bosses of the time when DK64 was released back in November of 1999. One or two crop up twice as the boss for more than one level, but don't be fooled they WON'T be as easy to beat as the last time, let me assure you! You do have to collect banannas throughout the game and the fact that each of the 5 charachters has 100 bananas each in every level shows in itself just how big the game is, but don't think that you get to store them away and eat them at your celebration party...OH NO. you have to feed, a really big, FAT
pig, you see his broher is a damn site heavier than him and he, conveniently, needs to be fed in order to tip the scales so that his brother can turn the key, so wether it be 100 or 400 bananas that this guy wants you have no choice, he neds feeding, and if you don't beat the boss to get the key you have no hope of releasing the big friendly croc that is necessary to complete the game. You see it is all going well for K. Rool until DK and Co release this big croc from his cage, he sees K. Rools ship and ....WANTS TO PLAY. During the chase, K. Rool is taken down and your all set for the kill...But be careful, you might need some advice from Lennox Lewis for this fight, it won't be pretty, either way! Multiplayer There are lots of different options for multiplayer, there are a number of special mini-game challenges throughout the game which can be added to your multiplayer options as you get further on in the game. There is a battle mode Goldeneye style with some very interesting arenas, as well as an arena which is a free for all on a circle, but be carful, it is not as spacious as you might think! The weapons that the charachters pick up in the game are also available in Multiplayer, which adds much more to the excitment! You can also play as 'Rambi' - A Rhino and Enguarde - A Swordfish, they have different tasks in the main game but setting a high score with them on multiplayer, may very well be one of the most trying tasks in the game! Overview The game is great value for money, and at the moment is one of the only ways you will be able to get your hands on a N64 4MB Expansion pack, there are more factors and sectrets to the game than Einstien himself could remember. All the old charachters are there, including some new faces and you also have a handful Kong buddies to help you on your way, including ole Cranky...Bless Him! A must for any Platform Fan. Plus there are another 100 features that the game has. The only thing that the game could have t
hat would score some serious house points would be a 2-Player Adventure Mode, but once you are enwrapped in the ape-mad action, you don't even think about it!Graphically Sound. Super Playability. Great Fun for ALL Ages. It'll have you swingin' from your chandalier! Ohh Ohh!
