Advantages: Fun, Addictive, A classic

Disadvantages: Hard, Too much like Banjo Kazooie, Needs expansion pak

Donkey Kong 64 is arguably the best platformer on the N64 and as the 64 is the console that has the greatest ever platformers on it that is one great praise. Donkey Kong pits you (once again) against the evil King K. Rool. You play as 5 cool Kong’s of course 2 of them are Donkey and Diddy but this game introduces you to pony tail twirling, Tiny, Super strong and funny, Chunky and tall long armed and utterly freaky, Lanky. These aren’t the only Kong’s you’ll meet on the way you will bang in to old favorites such as Cranky, Candy and Funky and even old friends such as Rambi, Enguarde and Squawky. Imagine Banjo Kazzoie ten times as big with tones more moves, old favorites and addictive gameplay. This game has it all, Play instruments; become so big you scare the hell out of anything and become so small you can crawl through any gaps. Fly through the air on a jet pack and go at high speeds on your arms.

As well as all that you even play old classics such as the original Donkey Kong and one of RARE's first creations Jet pack. This as well as many other mini games such as Rambi's and Enguarde’s arena appear as a instant play at the beginning which you unlock as you progress through single player and there is even a exciting multiplayer with guns and even a neat little Crash Bash style beat 'em up where you knock people of a small arena with up to four players Tekken should be worried.

The level design is near perfect the only way I can fault it is by saying it is a tiny bit hard towards the end and feels very similar to Banjo Kazooie. So Donkey Kong has it all Platforming, Shooting, Fighting, racing (in mine cart's and Racing cars) and even includes an exciting Multiplayer this game rocks buy it now!!!!
