Mario Kart 64 (N64) ... Kart 64 was a hugely influential game as far as my love of Nintendo goes and one of the key games the console sold on. The game was the step up to the N64 for Mario and his racing buddy s with a choice of 16 tracks for racing (split into 4 cups, with each cup having 4 tracks, going from the easy races to the harder ones) as well as 4 battle tracks (to play battle mode, in which players would try to pop opponents balloons). The game was released in Japan in 1996 and followed in Europe and America the following year before the re-release in 2007 on the Wii Virtual console. Mario Kart 64 (N64) ... is a game that many were expecting to be the best, so many argue that it is better than the original. I ll tell you it isn t. How can it be? The original was perfect. A game that could not really be improved upon. This one makes the mistake of taking away what make the original so good. Skill... That is it. Skill doesn t win you matches this time around, the AI of other drivers is a joke with them being able to catch you up whatever the lead you had. Often the winner gets decided upon within the last few seconds. You cannot build up a lead like before. On another note though the levels are nice minus rainbow ride which is criminal. Mario Kart 64 (N64) ... 3D graphics were what Mario was all about on the N64, and in one of many games he had on the N64 another tremendous game was made hence its re-release on the Nintendo Wii and being a huge seller. Why would you not want this game? AS a child i would play this game for hours upon hours against my mates, as this game can be played as a 4 player game, with computer characters racing against you as well. This game can get so competitive it can become quite ridiculous but its so fun. Mushroom cup, Star cup all brilliant groups of races as you aim to be the king of the tracks as such characters as mario, luigi, koopa troopa, toad amongst many others. Not only does t...
