Advantages: It's F1
Disadvantages: It's F1
Racing games have never been my favourite genre, but when the idea of an F1 game was presented to me for the first time, I gathered that it really would be fun attempting to overtake people when, basically, as in F1, it was VERY difficult to do so. However, I did not find it fun. On the 1st difficulty level, you could go faster than everyone else, so the challenge was not there and it became tedious. Naturally, I decided that the higher difficulty levels would give me what I was expecting. Here, it was difficult, but there was something I did not anticipate. To do well, you really have to memorise each individual corner, work out how to tackle it, then memorise it (i.e....what speed you should, do I HAVE to apply the brakes here? e.t.c.). I regard myself as a gamer with patience, but this I soon got bored of. By the time I knew the 1st track (and began to enjoy it), I had to learn a whole new track....and then I began to forget the old one. I suppose an F1 game will never be my style of game...you need either patience, or you need to be fan. However, technically it was excellent, it is difficult fault (although the 2 player mode is too jerky). So, while a decent game, I’m off back to shooting and adventuring.
