Advantages: Multi player

Disadvantages: graphics dated now, but still gameplay is immense

The nintendo 64 wasn't a console i was really looking forwardto coming out and i didn't bother getting one at first, i chose to get a new bike for my birthday that year... i massively regret this now and had to wait until the following xmas to get my hands on a nintendo 64, why is this little story relevant you ask?? Well one game, Goldeneye.

Never been a James Bond fan so this release really didn't mean much to me, so when a friend was raving about a certain new game he had got with his brand new Nintendo 64. So as always me and a few friends went to his house to try out this game, i was simply blown away!
For the time the graphics were excellent, detail was immense and you could blow up pretty much anything around you.

The game itself-
This isa first person shooter and the plot is very similar to the film following missions which James Bond carries out throughout the film, plus couple of extra missions from classic Bond films.
There are three different difficulty settings Agent, Secret Agent and 00 Agent each of which and extra parts to the mission to complete and also the enemies get more accurate with there shooting and take more to hits to be killed.

Multi-player mode-
For me was the highlight to this classic title, with the Nintendo 64 having 4 controller ports the game was 1-4 player.
You were set on various stages in a death match, either every man for himself or team battles (plus other death match modes with different rules to make it more interesting).
This game was played fors hours on end between me and my friends and even to the day i get out my Nintendo 64 from time to time and invite friends round for a game on our fav retro game.

Summary: best first person shooter ever!!
