Advantages: best shoot 'em up ever
Disadvantages: none
Goldeneye is a quality game, which everybody that I know loves. It is based on the James Bond film, and the single player follows this theme pretty well, as each level is based on a different part of the film, except for when you actually visit the observation complex in Severnaya. The basic plot of the game is that a fellow agent and friend, Alec Travelyan (006), gets killed, or so you think, and he has got his hands on a secret Russian space weapon codenamed Goldeneye. This is a satellite in orbit of the earth that fires a nuclear blast in the earth?s atmosphere causing any electrical system within something like a five-mile radius to fail. You play spy James Bond (007), and you basically have to stop Travelyan and save London from being the next victim of the space weapon. The games single player game is sheer class, but this game has mainly built its reputation on its fantastic multi-player game. It set the standard for shoot ?em ups on any console, and its multi-player has set the standard for any type of multi-player game, is there really is nothing quite like shooting the life out of your mates on a computer game. Lets not leave out the graphics in this classic, the graphics are some of the best on any game. With the quality of the graphics there is the also its great sound effects to compliment it leaving you with a great game with great graphics and sound. If you have a N64, but not this game, why not? Anyone without it should not be, but don?t take my word for it, Nintendo Official Magazine gave this game a whopping 94%. You should buy this game, honestly, you WILL be playing on it for years to come.
