Out of all of the consoles on the planet i would have to say the N64 doesn't get its fair share of footy games. But Konami know what to do and ISS is and absolute scorcher! Sure there is no official license but who cares this has ome of the best playability ever!!!!!! Weired taunts and blocky graphics aside this has it all! Clever moves, excelelnt Camera and it shows the Playstation isn't the only console with good footy games. If you have an N64 and like footy games get this now!! Dringo

There is no ISS 98 section so this will have to do here! The follow up to ISS 64, this is easily the best football game on the console. It has more teams, improved graphics and better gameplay. There are now more moves in the game for you to do, and scoring goals at the top level against the computer is not easy. The players names are still fake, though they can be edited to anything of your choice. A really good improvement on the previous game is that the commentary is much better. More words are used, and it runs along more smoothly. Playing against the computer is fun, but playing against a friend is much better, especially when you score a thirty yard thunderbolt and then rub it in his/her face. If you want to go one step further then try the 4 player option. This is absolutely brilliant and tests how well you are on teamwork. There are options in the game for you to be able practice all your skills and techniques, and you can also have penalty shoot-outs. The gameplay is overall better than ISS 64 and way better than the FIFA games. Moves can be recreated very accurately, and game scores are quite realistic. If you bought ISS64 and thought it was good, then you have to buy this game. Quite simply it is the best football game on the Nintendo 64.

My first football game on the N64 was ISS64. I loved it, it was pure footballing class! When ISS98 came out, I didn't bother upgrading; "No game could beat the mighty ISS64!" - i thought! But when I heard about the new features in the latest (and final) ISS on the N64, I couldn't help but be curious. The game engine itself is very similar to ISS64, there are a few new animations and the ball feels a lot more ball-like, you now have to work for posession, instead of relying on the CPU to do all the work for you (this adds loads more realism into the game). From the title screen you get the usual options, quick start, penalties, competitions and player edit... then makes way for the options unique to ISS: <> Secnario - this is the same as in previous ISS titles, you join the match mid-game and have to win, there are varying degrees of dificulty and many matches to participate in. <> Career - this is the first time a career mode has ever been fetured in a football game. Although this is no amazing mode, ISS gives the career mode a step in the right direction. You start off as a player, who must work his way up from the reserves, to one-day play in the national side. The whole thing revolves around you talking to others, training etc. It is all text based, there is no RPG style wandering around (like in Mario Golf for the GB) - you wont go over the moon for this mode, but it is fun to come back to every so often, there are several storylines and different endings for you to discover! All in all, ISS2000 is the best football game I have played on any system, when you play well, you get a great sense of acheivement and pride. I much prefer this to any of the FIFA games. The game is littered with little tweaks which make it all the more real, like the linesmen who run up and down, the onscreen ref. and the little stretcher men that come on to help your injured player! ISS2000 - you
        wont be disappointed!

People - you have got to buy this game! As always konami have come up trumps again. ISS 2000 is their best yet. Although the gameplay is similar to the previous 2 ISS games there is a strong case for you to buy this game. If you dont already own any of the previous games then you should definately buy this game. If you haveISS 64 then i think you should buy his game but if you have ISS 98 then i would consider it more carefully.
