My first football game on the N64 was ISS64. I loved it, it was pure footballing class! When ISS98 came out, I didn't bother upgrading; "No game could beat the mighty ISS64!" - i thought! But when I heard about the new features in the latest (and final) ISS on the N64, I couldn't help but be curious. The game engine itself is very similar to ISS64, there are a few new animations and the ball feels a lot more ball-like, you now have to work for posession, instead of relying on the CPU to do all the work for you (this adds loads more realism into the game). From the title screen you get the usual options, quick start, ...

Out of all of the consoles on the planet i would have to say the N64 doesn't get its fair share of footy games. But Konami know what to do and ISS is and absolute scorcher! Sure there is no official license but who cares this has ome of the best playability ever!!!!!! Weired taunts and blocky graphics aside this has it all! Clever moves, excelelnt Camera and it shows the Playstation isn't the only console with good footy games. If you have an N64 and like footy games get this now!! Dringo ...

There is no ISS 98 section so this will have to do here! The follow up to ISS 64, this is easily the best football game on the console. It has more teams, improved graphics and better gameplay. There are now more moves in the game for you to do, and scoring goals at the top level against the computer is not easy. The players names are still fake, though they can be edited to anything of your choice. A really good improvement on the previous game is that the commentary is much better. More words are used, and it runs along more smoothly. Playing against the computer is fun, but playing against a friend is much better, especially when you score a thirty ...
