Advantages: GREAT graphics. Awesome gameplay, funky multiplayer
Disadvantages: um..... hmm.... err??? Dunno!
I recieved Jet Force Gemini last Christmas, and i still love playing it. I have completed it twice and enjoyed every last second of the ending sequence. The basic aim in Jet force Gemini is to rescue a furry bear like race called 'tribals' which have been enslaved by a huge tyron named 'Mizar'. Sounds rather simple? Its not! You must complete and rescue EVERY tribal on all 10 origanal worlds, plus there's about 3-4 secret worlds. In each world their are hoards of 'drones' which are Mizars um... soldiers. These are ant like creatures the size of humans, that come in many different shapes, colours and sizes. Flying drones also come in many different forms and nearly always come in huge groups. Use huge explosive weapons to pick them off quickly. There are many different weapons ranging from remote mines to Homing missiles or Tri-rockets (The most powerful 'GUN' in the game). The most fun I find are proximity mines :) because you could throw a few around where an 'ant' or 'drone' is walking and just hide and watch as the drone casually steps on the mine and 'explodes' in a shower of slime:) The worlds themselves are VERY detailed ,each with multiple 'stages' in them with very good music, SFX, graphics, and as it's a Rareware came you are sure to find some 'humour' on the way. Once all the basic levels are completed you have to fight Mizar for the first time, he underestimates you and cowers off onto and asteroid on a straight collision course for earth! Your ships cant get you there in time to destroy him and the asteroid, so the tribal king offers you an abandoned old ship to use. Only problem is bits of it have been scatterd around the 13 ish worlds. Guess what you have to do! yep:) find them all. The last one is the hardest of them all, as you have to rescue EVERY last tribal in the game *Ouch*! Being that there are
going on about 400 ish, your not gonna get this one in a hurry! The last boss is AMAZING and VERY hard to beat. But once killed the ending sequence is worth every drop of sweat shed! The multiplayer is one of the best i've seen yet! Scatterd around the main game are MANY secret 'totems' which when activated give you either a new character or level in multiplayer! Which is very cool, as some of the characters are very funny. There are also a range of cheats which are activated by picking up certain amounts of drone 'Heads'! Yep their heads! You have to shoot one in the head and usually his ugly face comes right off! So.. this game is by far recomended, it will keep you ocupied for monthes trying to get every last ship part and tribal, and then another few weeks trying to defeat the last boss. So what are you waiting for? If you haven't got GO GET IT:)
