Advantages: Great game, graphics and a tune that will keep you humming for days

Disadvantages: Brilliant but not as good as Ocarina of Time

I still play this game. I get my old N64 down from the top of my wardrobe, dust it off and start playing.

If you love the Zelda games and especially loved Ocarina of time (OOT) then you will love this game. The more recent Zelda games are, don't get me wrong, brilliant, but Majoras Mask and OOT on the N64 are the best and thankfully, when Twilight Princess was released on the Gamecube and Wii it was great to see the creators create a game similar to that of the two on the N64.

In this game, Link, a young elf like boy, is put under a curse by Skull Kid and turned into a deku scrub (a woodland plant like creature). After wandering the woods you come across the sewers of Clock Town where you meet a Mask Salesman who tells you he can help you, only if you can retrieve a special mask, Majoras Mask, that has been stolen from Skull Kid. After starting your adventure and venturing round the doomed Clocktown (that is going to be crushed by the falling moon in 72 hours), you have a series of puzzles and games to complete when you eventually find Skull Kid, but return to the Mask Salesman empty handed. He takes the curse off you, leaving you with a deku scrub mask (one of many masks that you pick up throughout the game, each has certain properties to enable you to do different things) and what happens next is a brand new gameplay. As you could not win Majoras Mask from Skull Kid, you get the chance to replay the last 72 hours. Each time you play the game you have developed a new skill, acquired a new mask and weapon, allowing you to continue and proceed further levels, but each time, you play the same 72 hours. All your new techniques will be put together so you will acquire enough to retrieve Majoras mask.

This is a great adventure RPG game and is one of the best games on any nintendo console. A game that can be played by anybody and any age with an interesting storyline, brilliant gameplay, great characters (in fact they all appear in OOT as well), super dungeons and loads of brilliant side missions that will give you plenty of hours of fun. The mask idea in this game is a cool idea. Getting the masks means going off on fun side missions and each mask holds certain properties, some of them extremely fun, e.g. a pig mask that helps you sniff mushrooms, or the bunny mask that helps you run fast. It starts to become like pokemon - gotta catch them all. There are 6 main areas - Clocktown, Woodland, Mountains, Ocean, Desert and Milk road. Each area is unique and there is lots to explore.

Summary: Classic Zelda on the N64 that can still be enjoyed after many years.

sounds interesting but its more like a sidestory in the zelda world as opposed to the big games like OoT
