Advantages: Excellent game play, plenty of good puzzles, and interesting worlds and features

Disadvantages: Having to go back to the beginning and lose things you've done when saving...

The Zelda series, and indeed Majora's Mask, provide an almost perfect gaming experience, enough puzzles to get you thinking and make sure your brain cells don't wither while you're playing, tricky enough bosses to provide a challenge, but by no means impossible, with plenty of exciting worlds to explore and characters to interact with. There are also plenty of subplots which, while not vital and you can play the game through without, provide interesting tangents to the game allowing you to enjoy playing it even having completed it.

Majora's Mask has the added joy of being able to collect masks, which do all sorts of exciting things, from making you invisible or able to run faster, to giving you the ability to march up and down playing a cheery (if rather irritating) tune to lure animals to yourself! There are even special masks which allow Link to transform into different species - Zora, Goron, etc. granting him special abilities.

The trouble with this game, however, is the system of saving and the time-looping system. If you run out of time (only three 'days' - not vast amounts), you are forced to play the 'song of time' which, while saving, also sends you back to the start of the three days, meaning you lose all your items and most, if not all, of what you have just done is then lost and you have to do it again. Very frustrating. You need to know how to time things perfectly in order to finish off major tasks. Collecting fairy's in dungeons can be rather a nightmare if you forget to save beforehand - many a time have I had only one more to find, and then been forced to save and lose them all.

But, if you've got a bit of patience, and have enjoyed Ocarina, by all means give it a go!

Summary: If you've played Ocarina, give it a go, if you haven't played Ocarina, recommend you do that first
