Advantages: An improvement on the original, great graphics on the N64 and undoubtly fanatastic gameplay
Disadvantages: Out of date graphics because of the new generation of consoles
The legend of Zelda:Majora's Mask is a fantastic game with superb graphics and attention to detail. This has got to be one of the must-have games on the N64. Although not as good as the original this is a very well worked and exilerating game with plenty of story and gameplay to last you a very long time.
This is a game from the always-quality Nintendo. Though not worked on by the genius that is Shigeru Miyamoto this game is still excellent.
If you own the original you might be thinking that there is no real point to this game since it has practically the same graphics but you would be wrong to think that as this offers a wide variety of gameplay that differs from the original.
The story is different, this time around it is about an evil mask that goes on the ranpage and casts a spell summoning a huge moon to hit the planet. You as Link have to stop the moon from crashing down but you only have 3 days to do it. No woories in this game you can go back in time by playing a song. After the third day you go back in time but don't worry cos all the things you did in those measely 3 days will be saved.
A lot of the side in Majora's Mask is similar to the ones in Ocarina Of Time and one such example is the one where you have to race the guy under the grave which is laos in this one. As you'd expect most of the characters from the first one make an appearance in this one.
Remember the masks that you bought in the original, well they have been expanded as a sort of sub quest. There as many as 25 masks in the game and they are all different. The coolest thing about 4 maks in the game is that they turn you into different beings in the game. You can be a Deku Schrib, a Zora and a Goron. The last one I mentioned is a secret so I won't tell you what it turns you into but I can tell you it is way cool. Also some of the other masks have qualities as well such as the rabbit mask which makes you run faster.
If
you do not have the original, Ocarina Of Time then I recommend you buy that one before you get your hands on this one.
In my opinion this game is fabulous but if your the kind of gamer that looks for the most up to date games then this probably does not feature in that category because it is by now half a year old. The graphics are great but not fanatastic but the gameplay more than makes up for that. I really recommend this game especially if you liked the first one. The only real bad aspect of the game is the saving system. I'm sure you'll have heard of it if you have read any other reviews. It is quite frustrating at first but after a while you will get use to it. Also I forgot to mention you need an Expansion Pak to play this game so be sure not to forget to buy one.
