When I think of a golf game, I used to think ‘boring’, but Mario Golf has changed my opinion! This is supposed to make golf fun, and it succeeds in doing just that. The game is easy to pick up, because if you want you can just aim and hit. However, if you want to go into more detail, you can choose clubs, strike the ball at angles and even try to counteract the wind! There are also several play modes, including a speed mode (fastest to finish wins) and a ring shot mode (hit the ball through rings). This versatility makes the game last, and ensures that you endure to become a golf master! Also, if you have a game boy and a transfer pack, you can import your gameboy golf characters onto your N64 to increase tour EXP points. This is a very clever idea, and ensures that you keep coming back for more!

The multiplayer mode in golf has each player going in turn, which makes it less hectic that some games! You can try most of the games available in the single player, including the mini golf, which is fun however many players you have! Not only is the game fun, but the graphics are colourful and sharp. Each of the characters only have a small amount of animation, but the animation that there is remains smooth and fast throughout the game.

Golf if one of these games that will last forever! Once you have got all of the characters, completed all of the ring shots and unlocked all of the courses, you can still try and get a ‘birdie badge’ on each course to get an extra special surprise. Overall, golf is a highly recommended purchase.
