Mario is the main dude at Nintendo, and his tennis game is really a brilliant piece of work! Lauched in 2000, it has kept the N64 afloat.

The graphics are excellent, and not a million miles away from thos of virtua tennis on the dreamcast. They are typical of any mario game, with bold colours to make the game simple.

>> Gameplay <<

This is the main "pro" of any mario game, its basically a pick me up and your off sought of game. From the moment you pick up the controllers, it feels great. Its as if your fingers already know which buttons to press, and where they are located!

Brand new, this game will still set you back 45 big ones in your local shop, however have a rummage through the bargain bin at any second hand games shop, and I am sure a copy of this will be lurking within the depths. A preowned copy of this delighful game will cost you between £22 and £30, depending on what sought of condition it is in.

>> Longitivity <<

I have had this game for about half a year now, and I am no where near completing it. You do all the tournaments, and then another secret mode pops up, I have not got a clue where it will end. You will not finish this in a hurry, at least 250 hours worth of gaming in this baby.

The sound is okay, the misxture of randon jingles and childish bleepy sound creates a very friendly atmosphere, sound good in both mono and stereo, not sure about surround sound speakers though.

If you have children in the household then this is the game to get, and its also the perfect excuse for you to play it!

Go out and buy it, second hand though!
