Now, what would you say if I said 'Ice Hockey on the N64'? When I was offered the chance to play this game, I thought that it'd be absolute crap. The game exceeded my expectations.
The graphics are phenomenal, the sound system's good, but the game has failed to capitalize on the fact that most decent sports games should get 10/10 for lifespan, but NHL's pot luck (e.g. run forward and shoot) side can make it boring after a while.
After one game it is easy to pick up the basic skills, such as weaving, tackling, passing and shooting, but varies as to wether it's simple to score, or almost impossible.
Even though the game is extremely fast paced, it is very easy: the first time I played, I beat my cousin who'd been playing for ages!
Its addictive play makes it a good idea to buy.
