Advantages: Great game
Disadvantages: None
After reading that this game was going to be better than Goldeneye I just had to go out and buy this game. Even though it was delayed for around a year while the developers made it even better, it was well worth the wait. At first I was sceptical that a game could reach the nose-bleeding heights that Goldeneye set for the rest of the shoot em' up community, but not only has it reached these heights, it has flown completely over them. The single player game is better that any shoot em' up on any console, the missions aren't just to reach the end and pressing a few buttons. You have to use stealth in most levels rather than picking the biggest gun that you can find (and there are some BIG guns) and walking into a room and killing anything that moves. There are no real disappointing aspects of the single player, it managers to live up to its hype and provides hours of back to back entertainment. The multiplayer game is also a lot better than Goldeneye's, the ability to choose some computer simulants just gives it the edge, and with hardly any slow down with four players and a couple of simulants. The only bad thing about this multiplayer is when you put the simulants on the harder levels, instead of going to find a gun, they decide to get on your last nerves by chasing after you trying to punch you to death, this in turn makes you drop your gun and become dizzy which means that it is the opposite of easy trying to move around and aim your gun. After having this happen to you a couple of times, it makes you want to pull a gun on your Nintendo and blow it into something unrecognisable. Another thing that this great game has to offer that Goldeneye cannot is the opportunity to go on a co-operative mission, or a counter-operative mission. The co-op is great fun to go around on all the level with a friend finding out all of the secrets of the level, and also makes it easier for those with slightly less gaming skills. The c
ounter operative is also fun, one player is Joanna Dark, and the other becomes the nearest enemy and has to try to kill you. If any one with a Nintendo 64 does not have this game, then they should go out and buy this as soon as they can, you won't be disappointed.
