Perfection (Perfect Dark (N64))
Member Name: kavb
Advantages: Perfect Disadvantages: So few people have N64s, so most will never experience the GREATEST GAME EVER.
Have no doubt. This is perfection. Whenever a new shoot-em-up comes out, it is proclaimed as "the best ever". This time these claims are justified. When Goldeneye was released by Rare, it became a huge success. I didn't tire of it for years, it was always revealing something new. I couldn't imagine anything improving on it. But Rare have. The same team that made Goldeneye produced Perfect Dark, and it is clear. The quality is incredible, with attention to detail almost unbelievabley intense. From the moment you burst in the offices of dataDyne, shoot the guard who is struggling out of his chair in his head and watch him slump back in the chair as blood trickles onto the chair, turning it crimson, you know you are witnessing something special. Another incredible moment is when the guards turn off the lights, forcing you to wear you're night vision goggles, then blind you by turning on the lights in the middle of a gunfight! Or how about disguising yourself as a stewardess to get on Air Force One to save the president? I could go on forever, but just get it yourselves and you'll see. Put simply, this game takes what made Goldeneye brilliant and does it bigger, better and more frequently. I won't be tired of it for at least three years, until Rare release the sequel on the Dolphin. Summary: |
