Advantages: Original concept. Hours and Hours of gameplay. Tight graphics, good music. Lots of fun.
Disadvantages: Some might find it hard or boring
Pilot Wings.
This was one of the first games I got on the N64. At first I thought it was a little dull, but that was before I became engrosed with its tight and addictive gameplay.
There are three modes in which you travel differently to get points. Unlocking extras through achieving a set amount of points via medal's (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) is something more games should be using. And I don't just mean sport games.
This game has you flying all over the place, my favourite form being the jetpack. The gaming world and its locations are beautiful and a job to explore. As is using the camera in some of the levels.
It really is a simple game but offers so much enjoyment and it is a game that keeps you coming back for more trying to achieve that perfect score.
The graphics for its time are superb, the music score too as well as the game play. It is one of those N64 titles that will be remembered as a classic and real fans will long for a "next generation" sequel.
I think it offers fun for all ages and people who don't usually play games would also enjoy it too. It offers a certain charm and really is alone in a genre of its own. I've never played anything like it.
Summary: A great game that every N64 owner should play through at least once.
