Advantages: Great Expansion graphics , good mix of puzzles

Disadvantages: See op

Rayman 2, it attempts to Banjo:Kazooie's crown but sadly failed. I hated the first one on the PSX but got this over a year ago for £10 off of Gameplay.com after playing the DC demo. It tries it's best to avoid the hub style level play shown on Banjo:Kazooie (the witches castle) and Mario 64 (peaches castle) it does do well by not having a free roaming hub rather an old style map system. The storyline is ok but nothing extremely special. What i like about this game is when you fall off a platform you lose a bit of energy instead of a life, this is a good system. It combines Platform elements and puzzles and does it quite well. There is one puzzle near the beginning of the game where you have to get a barrel and then throw it in the enemy and hit an enemy with your power while the barrel is in the air. Quite difficult at first. It has some good set pieces like now and again you always seem to be sliding down something and the rockets used in the game are cool too. The Expansion pak works well with the game and drastically improves over the non-expansion. It says 40 hours of play on the box but i done it in about 2 or 3 half days so not exactly 40. There is no great flaw but there seems to be something missing.

It's quite a good game on the PSX to be honest.
