Advantages: Its a great intro to platform gaming.

Disadvantages: There aren't any except for the slightly dated graphics which really aren't that bad

A fantastic platform game with 15 main levels, 15 secret stars, 3 'cap' levels. You get a letter from Princess Peach inviting you to her castle for cake, when you get there by means of a warp pipe you are told in no uncertain terms that noone is home. Confused slightly you make your way further into the castle where you meet Toad, who is terribly concerned about the Princess, he suggests starting in BobOmb Land where you encounter the Bobomb King once you've overthrown him you can play through the game in any order you wish within reason. Different doors require a different amount of stars to play them. How you choose to play through the game is up to you but you do need certain abilities provided by the caps in order to get certain stars. You play the hero trying to defeat Bowser in order to have Princess Peach returned to her rightful place in the castle. When you have reached 120 powerstars and defeated the final boss you can also find a special surprise on top of the castle.

This game is suitable for people of all ages and a good introduction to gaming. You'll also want to play it over and over again. You can also download this game for play on the Wii now so you don't need an N64 to play it.
