Advantages: Gameplay, graphics, generally everything

Disadvantages: ?

Super Mario World was one of the first games out with the SNES, much like Mario 64 was the first game out for the N64. Nintendo had had a history of successes with the Mario games of the NES, and it was no surprise when this game turned out to be one of the best Mario games of all time.

~~~~Story/Plot~~~~
To be quite honest I have no idea what the plot was for this game. Generally like all Mario game it had something to do with Bowser being Evil, and the Princess being helpless. (Anyone that can actually tell me the plot, would be appreciated, and will get a mention when I update!)
During the game you just have to kill baddies, go on to kill bowser and save the ever so helpless Princess! And also Yoshi featured in this game. I loveable little dinosaur thingy, that you ride around on.
~~~~Gameplay~~~~
Like all Mario game this game is greatly playable. It follows the same format as Mario 3. The game is set on a map, and you play different levels in order to create a path to the next level. The map is split up into a sort of mini worlds, but that really isn’t that important.

One of the main differences to any Mario games before it Mario World introduced Yoshi. With Yoshi you could ride around on him through the different levels, and also eat the many enemies out to stop you in your tracks.

This game has around 90 levels (I think) Most are accessed through just completing one level and on to the next. But others are accessed through finding secret keys on levels. It doesn't actually mater that much if you find these levels. It just gives an alternative way to get to Bowser.

--Multi-player—
Well not multi, more like 2 players. Unlike any other Mario game before and after it, on Mario world you can have a 2-player game. Although you cannot play 2 at a time. Instead, player 1 plays as Mario, and player 2 plays as Mario’s brother Luigi. You play alternatively. One has a turn, does a l
evel then the other one has a turn.

---Power-ups---
In this game there are 3 main power-ups. The mushroom, that makes you grow in size, and so it takes 2 hits from enemies to kill you. One to make you small again, and one to finish you. The next is the Fire Flower. This gives Mario the ability to fire little fireballs out of his finger. Which turns out to be quite a deadly weapon. The other Power up is the Feather. This gives Mario a cape, so when he runs he can float along. In some ways you can fly, but this is quite hard in levels without much room, and when you haven’t practiced.

Die-hard Mario fans you remember playing Mario 3, will notice that compared to Mario 3, Mario World falls drastically short in the Power-ups department. Mario 3 had a never-ending list of Power-ups. Most noticeably missing, in my opinion, is the ability to turn into a hammer thrower. But also power-ups like turning into a frog, or climbing into a giant shoe or missing.

---Baddies/Enemies---
The main baddies in the story are the koopa's. At the end of every mini-world, there is a castle with a variation of a koops that you have to defeat in order to carry on. Of course there is Bowser at the end of the game as well. The other baddies are all the normal ones from Mario game. But with a few differences. Don't ask me for specifics; because simply I can’t remember them.

~~~~Graphics~~~~
This game was a huge leap in graphics, on all consoles. Yes compared to today’s graphics, with all the 3D and everything else, Super Mario World’s graphics were dreadful. But compared to everything else out at the time, they were brilliant! I don’t know if they meant to have it that way, but the game ended up looking like every other Mario (*so, probably did want it that way*). Anyway it locked all bright and colorful, cute and cuddly. The only down side is the background. As it is “d, going from left to right
across the screen on every level, the backgrounds is just repeated every few parts. Meaning that they become boring!
~~~~Conclusion~~~~
In my opinion (*and lets face it, mine is the only one that matters, hehe*) this game is the one of the best out on the SNES. It has the best graphics on the SNES, and is generally a great game! Although that not widely available any more, I do recommend it to any one with a SNES. Or to a lesser extent people with an SNES emulator. Although I must stress that you can only keep the ROM for 24hrs unless you own the original cartridge.

In other words you used my valuble advice.

BTW, could you please stop bragging about how your opinion is better than mine, it's not up to you and it doesn't make it fact does it. And I did mention the baddies and the 2 player. And you said around 90 before proving that I know more than you about this game ^_^
