Alas, I am guilty of the prime sin of computer games. I don't know a single person who shares this. Someone out there must agree, no matter how ashamed it make them. There should be a medical term for this.

I don't like this game. There, I said it. Before I get cussed, hear me out. I have reasons, no matter how warped and irrational they must be.

First. The graphics suck. The parallax just seems so dull and boring The colours just repeat over and over.

The handling is off. The yellow cape thing seems like a waste of time. The way you jump is like moving through treacle. The levels seem empty. Mario doesn't do enough. It goes on too long. The action repeats. The bosses are too easy. Saving isn't regular enough. The game doesn't seem suited to the controller. It all moves way too slowly.

And it isn't as if I don't like Nintendo. My only non-N purchases were a Mega Drive to accompany my SNES and PS2 some eleven months ago which just isn't as good as my old N64. I've preordered a GameCube. I tried! Oh God how I tried. I spent ages just trying to make the game like me but it didn't want to know. Sniff. I turned back to Sonic and its flashes and bells and whistles and suddenly all was well.
