Advantages: Dark, Disturbing, Dangerous
Disadvantages: Lack of interaction
Well as there is no Shadowman i'll write it in Superman instead! Dark, Disturbing and Devilish this is what describes Acclaim’s smash hit Shadowman. So you’ve played the PS version and aren’t impressed, Dreamcast Version didn’t do anything special for you well they wouldn’t as the best version of Shadowman appeared on the N64 and what a game it was. You will get hooked in the game as you try to find those last few Dark souls in the wastelands and will wet your pants as you try to get through a pitch black house whilst being chased by a psychopathic killer with night vision goggles. You might be scampering through the London underground dodging hounds in order to find that elusive Jack the Ripper. The graphics are detailed and smooth with some excellent lighting effects this is indeed a violent and brilliant looking game. The sounds are also brilliant, you will occasionally just turn on the game simply to here the beginning music and the use of the classical Moonlight Sonata when it comes to jack the ripper is a brilliant effect. The Gameplay is what makes the game good though whilst you try to get the Dark souls although you will probably get a little frustrated in the huge Wastelands. It is a very disturbing game especially in the playrooms as the noises of babies crying and rooms filled with building blocks covered in blood is a disturbing area especially as you are in dead side? Many extras are hidden in the game, which may give you clues to how the gripping storyline will suddenly make its huge twist. There is many fun cheats to unlock and will last longer as Zelda. This is described as Zelda’s evil twin so if your looking for a grown up Zelda then this is the game to get. It isn’t faultless the controls aren’t perfect and the amount of perfect pinpoint jumping required can get frustrating. Also unlike Zelda you won’t be meeting very many characters throughout
the game so the interaction is low. Other than the funny Irish snake (go no shoot him) and the serious voodoo mistress Annette there is few other characters. But the meeting with the five serial killers and legion can be very funny and disturbing. With the mild swearing and the huge amount of blood this isn’t for the faint hearted so if you think you can stomach it? Get it! Dringo
