Advantages: huge 3D game, sub quests, available on wii

Disadvantages: no multiplayer, graphics aged slightly

The legend of Zelda is game series was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, and there are 15 games (plus one more currently planned to be released in 2010), the first game was released way back in 1986 on the original Nintendo but this review is for one in particular, and personally my favourite :).

The Ocarina of Time was released 11th December 1998, and was the first Zelda to be a free roaming 3D game. The game is set Hyrule and altough this is the fifth game it is actually a prequel to the other four games.
You play as Link, a Hylian boy who goes on a quest to stop Ganondorf the Gerudo King from obtaining the Triforce.
The game itself is an acion-adventure game but also has puzzle and role-playing elements.

For me this game is with out a doubt one of the greatest games ever made, and like i said earlier took me near a month to complete the main story still the game really isn't over, there are plenty of sub quests to complete and more people to meet for example the catching all the Skulltas to free a rich family from a curse in which all the family are turned into spiders.

In the game you get alot of new weapons each used for indivual puzzles or enemies your weapons include Sling shot, Boomerang, Bow and Arrow, Hook shot and Long shot. You also need different tunics and boots to progress again each one give the user a new ability.

The game has been rereleased on other platforms and has even been released for the wii, for me the game will continue to be played even by gamers new to the series.

**Updates- the music for this title was composed by Kōji Kondō (the composer for the Zelda series since the first game). Game spot actually labelled the game as one of the top ten vidoe game sound tracks.
Music plays a quite a big part in the game using an Ocarina to learn certain melodies and songs to progress and even control time.
The grapics were possibly some of the best around at the time but obviously with the more powerful systems the graphics have improved. the cut scenes in the game are completely generated from real time computing, this was done to create the imperession the player is still in control of the scenes**

Summary: Classic game

much much better, thanks for getting back saying you'd updated it as you've turned a rather churned looking piece into an excellent review. :-)

no where near enough details here. what are the sounds like? Are the controls decent? The graphics? (have they held up) how long does the game last? To be honest you cant review a video game (especially one like this which is huge) in less than 300 words.
