The first 2 Turok games for N64 were nothing really special, a couple of titles in a long list of the consoles average first person shooters, but Turok Rage Wars has a twist. This places the emphasis on the multiplayer game present in the previous titles, and works to good effect, creating lots of small levels with specific objectives. These range from normal combat (kill your enemies as much as you can), to boss levels (kill the boss as much as you can), to a sort of capture the flag, where you must find the flag and bring it back to your designated base without getting killed, to the fantastically original monkey tag. Turok Rage wars! You can pick it up for under a tenner and is a deathmatch Turok game. Also the gore has been reduced quite astoundingly from holes in body and spasming as seen in previous incarnations of the Turok series to a mere flop of blood. Well it has left the usual system and now includes a deathmatch style game where you battle against computer controlled opponents in cleverly designed arenas. The control system from the first 2 that seemed a little dodgy has been well and truly sorted out and moves smoothly. The game is highly addictive and unlike Turok 1 and ...  Read the complete review

This is the third installment of the highly acclaimed turok series from acclaim! You play a turok, the dinosaur hunter, but this time you don't play 'missions' as such. The whole game is set in a multiplayer environment, each mission being more like a deathmatch. You must work your way along the paths for each character, and earn goodies and weapons along the way. There are 4 bosses on each characters path, but each character has different weapons, so this makes it interesting. Some are plain deathmatches, others team deathmatches, capture the flag and 'animal tag'. In animal tag mode, one of the players is a monkey. The other [layers have to ...  Read the complete review
