In this mode one player is designated as the monkey, in fact becoming either a lizard or chicken, and must reach the special point where they will return to normal form while someone else becomes the monkey, while everyone else trys to kill the monkey, whoever does so most times at the end winning. Probably the best thing about Rage Wars,...more

The first 2 Turok games for N64 were nothing really special, a couple of titles in a long list of the consoles average first person shooters, but Turok Rage Wars has a twist. This places the emphasis on the multiplayer game present in the previous titles, and works to good effect, creating lots of small levels with specific objectives. These range from normal combat (kill your enemies as much as you can), to boss levels (kill the boss as much as you can), to a sort of capture the flag, where you must find the flag and bring it back to your designated base without getting killed, to the fantastically original monkey tag. This is the third installment of the highly acclaimed turok series from acclaim! You play a turok, the dinosaur hunter, but this time you don't play 'missions' as such. The whole game is set in a multiplayer environment, each mission being more like a deathmatch. You must work your way along the paths for each character, and earn goodies and weapons along the way. There are 4 bosses on each characters path, but each character has different weapons, so this makes it interesting. Some are plain deathmatches, others team deathmatches, capture the flag and 'animal tag'. In animal tag mode, one of the players is a monkey. The other [layers have to ...  Read the complete review
