 ... although I quite liked it with the analogue controller for the Saturn. The playstation versions I didn’t consider to bother with. I purchased this on the strength of the Saturn Wipeout 2097 and also since it was only a tenner in Virgin, quite a reasonable price for a famed cart such as this. The first wipeout game was a smooth game and quite a new and good idea as well. It was one of the first future racing games available and paved the way for a new generation of racing games to come after it. Games like X-treme G where all based around the principle of wipeout even though not one game could come close in gameplay as the first wipeout did. The sequel to wipeout, wipeout 2097 added enhanced graphics and extra features. The N64 version is an enhanced version of this game and the graphics are of course even better than before with all that 64bit flair.
