A big must for fans of fantasy games everything about 'The Ocarina Of Time' is just perfect from the interesting and exciting storyline to the variety of characters you meet on your journey to the music, graphics and lay out of each of the main dungeons the game puts many of today's releases to shame. Starting off as a child Hyrule is a peaceful happy land and Link's only concern is gathering three stones that will enable him entrance to the Sacred Realm where the Triforce is kept, however things soon t...more

Premium Review Zelda 64 Ocarina Of Time (N64): Zelda (121 words)
by - written on 30/08/07 (Somewhat useful, 42 readings)

This is one my favourite nintendo 64 games. Its a one player adventure game with a great storyline. It focuses around a child named link who is sent on a mission to save the princess zelda and her castle from her enemy, using his ocarina to travel back and forth in time. The game starts off in a world where everything is perfect, but then the world turns dark and its up to link to save it. Having never left the place where he lives, this is a big adventure for him. The game has great graphics and is one of the only N64 games which has night and day. There's loads to get through and could keep you busy for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ocarina of Time: Finally Nintendo does Something Right (1269 words)

Intro: November 23, 1998 was a date that was circled on many Nintendo 64 gamers' calendars. I owned an N64, but I could care less about Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Zelda 64). It wasn?t until a few weeks after its release that I started getting interested in the game. The game was literally everywhere. My friends talked about it at school, websites had non-stop features, and magazines praised it as one of the best games ever made. I was tempted to give the game a try, and a month later I finally bought the game. Story: I was expecting a lot from the story. Overall I say it was decent, but for some reason it never got me involved. I didn?t ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Zelda 64 Ocarina Of Time (N64): Zelda in the rain (398 words)

Take a 3D world, sprinkle some people, add a third person perspective, add a storyline, add some cool effects, allow saving of progress, add some huge castles stock filled with puzzles and fighting, and you have Zelda 64. Or so some people would say. Other people, myself included, might have said something like "oh my god, its Zelda in 3D", which is what they wanted us to say. The truth is that this game is a very good start in the direction of new games. Sure it has some problems to do with the camera, responsiveness to the joypad, funny looking people (heheh ok ignore that last one), but the crux of the game is based around the storyline, and exploring a huge ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Strong Contender For Best Game Ever Right Here... (431 words)

I would have to go out on a limb before I even begin writing this review and say that I'm not normally a huge game player but this game easily is one of the best I've ever played if not one of the best ever made. Set in the fictional land of Hyrule, you play as Link in this one player adventure game. It is Link's destiny to protect a sacred relic known as the triforce from falling into the hands of Gandorf - the game's major villain. Being one of the only Nintendo games to move from day to night [though fairly quickly] and even though Link never leaves the land of Hyrule throughout the game there's so many places to visit along the way. A big must ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Zelda 64 Ocarina Of Time (N64): Link Can Time Travel (1009 words)
by - written on 02/05/05 (Very useful, 669 readings)
Rating:

This review is about the game Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. There are many Zelda games, and different stories, this one is the beginning of this Link (the main character). There are many challenges, and adventures that you will need to do on this game, and loads of fun. The aim of the game is to collect these three magical stones, a grass one, fire one, and a water one, and once they have been collected and placed in the Temple of Time, you will be able to travel 7 years into the future, so you can save the world from Ganondorf (the main bad guy), you learn various songs, which have their own special powers. When you are a kid you have to get those magic ...  Read the complete review
