Advantages: Good entertainment that can be picked up and put down when you like
Disadvantages: Of the 42 games, not all are worth playing
For some entertainment on a car journey, or just to dip into this is a great game, lots of variation so Im sure anyone will find something they like. It works well because its "simple yet effective".
Its worth pointing out it has flaws, mostly small irksome things, but enough. The poor grahpics I find dulls the enjoyment in certain games, but its a handheld console so I'll not be too heavy on that.
There are many games that translate poorly into the electronic world (eg - texas hold-em and cheat, which need the human element) and some which translate poorly to DS (eg - bowling and a card game I forget the name of, which are very hard to play with the stylus - if anyone has mastered bowling with a stylus I commend you)
The unlockables are a rather poor too. A stamp that is used in a chat mode no solo player would ever use, or an icon. These arn't incentives to a player. Personally I don't want any incentives either. I don't want to progress through this game, I merely want to be able to dip into it.
A little more thought into playability it would be great, as it is I'd call it average.
Summary: A good buy, but not for the price they ask for it.

- 22/06/08 Welcome to Dooyoo.
If you want higher ratings you need to add more info on things like what you do in the game (e.g. is it a RPG, First Person Shooter or a Strategy game?), the graphics (e.g. is there any slowdown, how do the characters look and what do the environments look like), the sound (e.g. soundtrack, effects, voice acting etc.) and how much content there is (e.g. how long did it take you to finish, were there any side missions and was there online play?). If you need any more advice send me a PM. |
