... Mama DS is an entertaining game for the DS in which you have to successfully complete a series of mini games in order to cook a dish. There are over 70 dishes in total and they vary in difficulty and number of stages. Using the stylus you can chop, stir fry, boil, mix and many more. For each dish several different actions are required and upon completion you earn a medal depending on the standard of your creation. Bronze medals are easily earned whilst the all important gold medals can prove elusive on certain dishes. ... always seem to enjoy any game that is to do with preparing food and so this was a gift for my DS that I got very excited with. Yet I was highly disappointed with it and got bored of it very quickly, never to be taken out of the box again. The aim of the game is to cook up recipes by slicing, dicing, boiling, frying, chopping etc. For this you get rewarded a bronze, silver or gold award for your skills in the virtual kitchen. There are easy recipes such as an omelette, which then progresses into more difficult things such as Japanese. ... This game proved to be hugely popular upon its release back in December 2006. I bought mine from an ebay auction for around £9 but it is available online and at all good gaming shops. It is currently on sale at Game for £19.99 which is rather steep for a game that is so old. GAMEPLAY Mama gives you a number of recipes to follow and learn how to cook. You begin with a set number of recipes available to you and then unlock more and more as you proceed with the game. She gives you step by step instructions as to what to do such as slice the onion finely and you use your DS stylus in order to follow the instructions given. Providing you make it to the end...
