Mechanic Master (DS) ... is a mixed bag of a game, hard to describe what category it best applies to, a logic game, but not in the sense of Professor Leighton or Sherlock Homes, but nothing like an action one such as Sims or Mario type games. Mechanic Master, is simple to an extent, but needs logic to get going with it, the first few levels of the game the system gives you hints and tips, which was very useful, as you move through the levels, which in themselves become more difficult, more complex and more inventive. The aim of the game is the simple part, remove or kill the aliens, whether that be altering the screen and aspects of the game, use equipment, both standard and created by you... Age of Empires II: The Age Of Kings (DS) ... of Empires on the DS had a lot to live up to as I have played these games on the PC and usd to be addicted to them so was hoping that the DS version of the game would be the same and easier to take around to play with me. The game itself lets you command one civilisation and you can choose between the Britons, the Franks, the Mongols, the Saraceans or the Japenese. Like the PC version of the game you "create" you own civilisations and upgrade the buildings to be able to advance your civilisation. Like the PC version you can explore different lands and learn new skills and technologies to be able to advance to the next level or in this case the next age. ... SimCity Creator (DS) ... Sim City game offers you not just the opportunity to manage your city well as in previous versions but the chance to manage the development of the human race and their progression through the ages. Currently available new for £12 from Amazon and around that price from other retailers, my copy was £10 second hand. Therefore makes a perfect Christmas gift for your friends and family who own a DS. The interface is basically the same as Sim City DS, however the panels develop as your city grows. For novices it is simple to use and to get the hang of.
