I bought this based on the fact that the PC game is so good. Now, don't get me wrong, you can't expect it to be as good, but what it actually delivers is pretty nifty!

The game is on the same basis as the PC version, just scaled down. There are less features and less characters, but that doesn't mean it's no good. The challenge is there as you work your way through different mythological races, with the challenges getting progressively harder.

The cut scene fighting scenes are pretty good though. Visually impressive for the DS. The interface is very user-friendly, and the game is easy to pick up for those without previous Age of Empires experience. There may not be quite enough depth to the gameplay for some fans, but for me, it's a pretty decent game for the DS. You have to bear in mind what the DS is, and what it can do.

Overall, it's a pretty decent, well thought out and long-lifed game. And it's also pretty entertaining too!
