Advantages: Great Multiplayer. Single Card Multiplayer action. Easy to get to grips with

Disadvantages: Single player not very good. No online mode. Basic Sounds & graphics.

This is a modern day update of the classic video game Bomberman. It is very nostalgic & tries to stick to what made the game what it was.

You play as Bomberman. A character capable of leaving bombs behind himself when he walks. You play the game from levels viewed top down. The aim of the game is to kill any other peson on the level by using the bombs to blow them up. There are different types of bombs like timer or proximity. Also you can collect power ups as you go that will make your bombs stronger.

Playing the game is pretty simple. The premise is easy to understand & the controls are simple & easy to use. It is good fun too.

Whether or not you should buy this game for me depends on how you intend to play. If you are going to play alone, then I wouldn't recommend it. It is fun but the levels & variety of challenges really don't differ that much. You never have to protect character one whilst destroying two for example. If you have friends with DS's & are planning to paly along with them in Multiplayer mode then I would recommend it. Playing against friends is brilliant. Plus through single card multiplayer you only need one copy of the game to play.

Downsides are the single player game. Graphics & Sounds aren't great but are functional & don't really affect the gameplay. Also, bearing in mind that this game has always been best played with others, an online mode would have been good.

Summary: Lots of fun when played with friends. Not so much played alone.
