Premium Review Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! (DS): Brain Training 2 - great variation and fun. (364 words)
by - written on 31/05/08 (Very useful, 43 readings)
Rating:

I bought this and the first game simultaneously and, although initially this one suffered through a large amount of neglect, it wasn't long before I had to try this one out. It's just the way things go really; to leave behind the old and move onto the new is unavoidable. It's a great game and hugely different to its predecessor. The games are a lot more 'lively', so to speak; no longer simple calculations, there is Masterpiece Recital; no longer syllable count, in its place Word Scramble. It's not surprising, then, that the games are also a little more difficult. I can't for the life of me succeed with Word Scramble; on the rare occasion I fly through the ...  Read the complete review

Rating:

Brain Age 2 will definitely sharpen your mathematical and logical skills. As you train everyday, even though for just a couple of minutes you will notice the improvement of your brain skills. As for me, every day that passed I noticed that every exercise I do , I realized that it becomes easier so this would mean that it has improvement, my mind becomes more alert in doing each exercise. If you are already training for a couple of days or more Dr. Kawashima will give you a chance to unlock more games .This game also enable you to track your improvement through graphical representation after each exercise you finished. It also allows four players for you to compare your ...  Read the complete review

I thought that the first version of this game was addictive....Since being given a DS and brain training games my commute to work has been transformed. I recommend this game to anyone who works in an office and commutes for 30+ minutes each way everyday. Premium Review What A Workout! (146 words)
by - written on 18/06/08 (Useful, 20 readings)
Rating:

That wacky brain doctor is back with 17 new mental minigames in Brain Age 2, and whether you're counting out pennies, pounds or notes or counting a runner's ever-changing place in a footrace, they all provide a nice intellectual workout -- much more so than the original. In this way, it's a big improvement; few of these struck me as too easy, and it's now harder to quickly ace the tests and rocket right up to the ideal brain age of 20. I vastly prefer Rock Paper Scissors, where you have to call out the winning (or losing) move in the game, to the original game that had you calling out the color you saw on a screen. And Serial Subtraction, in which you subtract a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! (DS): Nintendo Do it Again! (187 words)
by - written on 08/06/08 (Useful, 23 readings)
Rating:

Nintendo does it again! This game is even more challenging than the first! Hard to believe but it is; it offers the user the option to develop the skills that they may have acquired by using the original Brain Age game. If you have not played the original your ability to play this game will not be affected. In fact, the two games have their similarities and differences which is what makes it a good purchase. Nintendo take simple tasks that we take for granted, such as counting money and then ask us to complete tasks under time pressures. To begin with when your brain age is calculated you simply think... No way! I'm better than that and that ...  Read the complete review
