I drew a comic strip about this game when it was first released. The backstory was that my hapless protagonist was madly in love with a staff member at her local Gamestation store. Stumbling over her words, blushing, and desperate for an excuse to talk to him, she asks him about the first game that comes to mind- "Do you have....Cooking Mama 2?". Being a big fan of the first Cooking Mama game, when the new one came out I was super excited and as I found it near my birthday, my hints obviously paid off, as I was given it as a birthday present! However, currently it can be bought for around £15 on both Amazon and GAME, which is a pretty fair price considering the amount of things it has improved on and has to do throughout it. It's rated 3 plus, and I totally agree as everything is simple to understand and just requires some basic reading skills. I must admit when I set out to buy this game I was slightly embarrassed at buying a game that is aimed at a younger audience than myself. As it turns out, it was also not the version I had intended to buy. I had previously spent a few hours playing on the original version, Cooking Mama, and had become quite addicted to it. My little cousin introduced me to Cooking Mama on the DS about a year and a half ago, yet I've only just got round to getting my own copy - I went for the Dinner with Friends edition as it was slightly cheaper at the time, but to my knowledge there is little difference between the versions. It is, in all forms, truly an addictive little game! I brought Cooking Mama 2 for £14.99 after really enjoying the first one and wasn't quite sure what to expect as I've always found that sequels never seem to live up to my expectations however I was pleasantly surprised that this sequel managed to live up to my expectations and more. When the game first opens up you are greeted with the tart button.
