Advantages: Fun, Variety of games, Good recognition of touch screen + voice

Disadvantages: Not very addicting

This Brain Training game is an educational and testing game for the Nintendo DS, which can be bought in a bundle with the console for just over £100 or the game can be bought by itself currently at £14.96 on amazon.co.uk. When playing the game, you use the stylus to write and draw on the touch screen whilst holding the DS upright. The game uses the microphone and the touch screen all the time to test your brain and improve your brain age.

The idea of the game is to play it once a day and test your brain by doing each of the tests. This includes maths, logic, reading and more. The games are very testing and some are quite difficult. An example of a different game is where there is a house and you watch people going across the screen, entering and leaving the house. You have to keep in mind the number of people currently in the house, so it's a simple matter of quick addition and subtraction but as it speeds up, it does get harder. There are different rounds and you have to see how many you can get correct.

Other games include quick sums, which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You can do these sums in lots of 20 or even 100 and must simply answer them as quickly as possible by writing the answer on the screen, but you get time penalties for incorrect answers. The game is excellent in the way it recognises what you write, what you say and the way you control the touch screen.

The game keeps track of your progress and you can view graphs too as well as put a stamp on the date on the calender when you do your training for the day. It's very competitive too against friends to try and beat their records and you can unlock more tests as you progress through the game. I would recommend it as it is educational and enjoyable too!

Thanks for reading

Summary: A good game, which will help train your brain and lower your brain age!
