My wife and bought this for Christmas with a DS for the purposes of trying to awaken our brain as we were feeling the pinch of getting stuck in the rat race. I am not sure whether these games actually do traiun your brain or if you actually just get more used to things, it does seem to get easier the more you play it. I suppose this is then ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (DS)

This game is excellent, i got it free when i bought my ds and usually a game like this wouldnt appeal to me but i thought i would give it a go anyway. It was the best idea that iv ever had. This game is really amazing as it trains your brain in differnt ways and you can take a test to see your progress and it is all put into a chart and you can really notice the differnce. I have always had a problem with my Maths as i never really got it at school but there are maths questions on this game and in no time i found myself being able to answer them really quickly. I was amazed at this and my maths skills have improved. I would definetly reccommend to everyone. The best game out there!!

I have never been much of a maths whizz, so did not expect to enjoy this game, but I was stunned at how much I did! The first thing you have to do is a test to calculate your brain age. This will probably be disappointing at first, as the games are really quite hard. After that, you can do practice games every day to increase your ...  Read the complete review

I was a little sceptical when I heard that this game would help improve your brain age however when trying it out on my friend's DS I enjoyed the initial little games so bought the game myself. I set up my account and had a go at the brain age test - I was 80!! I then played the game everyday for a month and was surprised each time my ...  Read the complete review

The thought of Brain Training may sound like a gimmick and something uninteresting, but let me assure you that despite what it may appear to be, it is an intelligent and thought provoking, if not fun game. In my own experience, I was taken aback and surprised and how enjoyable it is! The concept is simple: You need to carry out ...  Read the complete review

This game is brilliant for training your brain! When I first got the game, and started to play it, I initially got a brain age of 77. I was terrible at the games, and found it quite hard. But then I started to play the game every day and gradually, after quite a while, (i.e playing it everyday from for a good number of weeks to a month), I managed ...  Read the complete review

I believe Brain Training was a revolution in gaming suddenly adults were buying £100.00 games consoles just to play this one game mainly due to the TV advertising. Whoever came up with this marketing ploy was I hope extremely well rewarded. The idea of the game is to keep your mind sharp with simple daily exercises. The Japenese phenomenum Dr Kawashima's brain training hits the DS. This is the first game i played on my DS and it had me hooked for hours. The excercises for improving your brain are so addictive and the more you do the more new activities it unlocks, low to high is my personal favourite, but there are so many good games to ...  Read the complete review

I was somewhat wary about buying this game as although the brain training aspect is interesting I wanted it to also be fun, not just work. It is somewhat fun though more could be done about that and has been done in the more recent game. Overall the tasks are ok, they don't feel like a strenuous workout, it's quite relaxing but I did ...  Read the complete review

I am fighting the urge to call this a game as it is more of a learning utility to be fair, but it is a brilliantly fun one at that! The basic idea is keeping your brain active will keep it working correctly, so with the daily play of various activities including a memory challenge, calculations and reading aloud your brain is kept fit, ...  Read the complete review

Dr Kawashima's Brain Training was a game that I really wanted. I got this game at the same time as my brand new pink Nintendo DS and it was fun. It gets old really quickly though.
