Advantages: Great use of dual screen

Disadvantages: Bit easy at tmes

I did not have very high hopes that the DS would be able to provide a decent football game experience on a small screen however I was pleasantly surprised by this effort which is a lot better than I expected.

With other 500 teams to choose from you are syre to find your favourite team to play as and there are a number of modes such as career, single season or tournaments or you can go straight into a single one off game.

Career modes combines the joys of playing the game with managing a team and is a lot of fun as you have to achieve a number of objectives to keep your job. You only really deal with tactics and team selection and then whether to either play the game of just carry out a simulation to get the result.

One of the weaknesses of the game is that the opposition are not that great even on the harder settings, at first this is great as you find your feet in the game but after a while the lack of challenge becomes an issue. The opposition attacks are pretty good but the defence on the AI is not and lets the game down.


One of the features I really like is the use made of the dual screen facility, the top screen shows the action as you play while the bottom screen shows an overhead view of the acion so you can get a whole pitch view and know where the players are, this makes passing long balls a lot easier and more satisfactory when your one vision is rewarded with a great pass.


Overall the contrls are easy to master and the menu options are well laid out, visually it is very pleaseing and up to the usual FIFA standards on other formats. Wel worth gettng for all DS users.

Summary: Much better than expected game.
