When you have more than one child the younger one inevitably wants to copy the older one, and doing things like playing the DS is no exception. So when my older son got into his Nintendo DS my 3 year old copied. So out we went looking for games that would keep his interest.
Being a Fireman Sam fanatic (not just a fan but a fanatic!!) we decided £14.99 wasn't too much to spend on this game.
The game is 3+ and is designed to be very basic - there are games like pointing a fire hose at fires to put them out and simple puzzles, that yes, are designed for younger children, but are they suitable for a 3 year old? I wouldn't say so. Well, not my son anyway.
To be honest the thing that he is more interested in is turning the game off and on again to get the theme tune to play! The games have instructions which would have to be read to a younger child and they have to enter their name etc which obviously a younger child couldn't necessarily do.
An older child would easily be able to play this game, but I think by the time they are old enough to play the game without help, they are too old for the character of Fireman Sam!
So really my view is that the game is a great idea but not really worth it.
