I have played many games recently and this one game for the Nintendo DS still confuses me as to why it is so weird and yet boring.
We all know games from friends or reading about them but this game I never heard about and I think the reasons were obvious. You have four arcade games apparently on the game well that might be the case but the name of the games is very funny.
You have one game which resembles Pac Man to the point where it should be entitled Pac Man. You go around picking up the dots and avoid the aliens walking around the place and if you do you advance to the next level. You have the same format as Pac Man and the same sort of maze board as well just different people and enemies running against you.
The second game is Tetris and yet it is not named Tetris on the game but again the idea is exactly the same. You have blocks falling from the sky and you need to place them in order to make sure they never reach the top. If you complete a line full of the blocks they disappear so the idea behind this is exactly the same as Tetris.
The third game is Asteroids and the idea behind the game is exactly the same as the older version people are used to. Granted the graphics and the idea behind the game are much more up to date but the idea is exactly the same and again this is not stated in the game.
The final game is similar to a game I used to know named as Frogger. You aim to cross lanes of traffic without being hit and aim to reach the other side. I remember seeing this versions many years ago with a frog which is why it has remained in my mind for.
The graphics on each game is basic and sometimes some items are terrible and seriously hard to work out what they are so that is a major problem for this game. Not only is that a problem but you also have game play which is exactly the same.
The game play on some of the games is slow and very boring and you just get bored, the game itself would be something you expect to see on an arcade machine more than a Nintendo DS console.
I never paid for this game to play but overall I am left disappointed by how poor it was. I wish they would have told people what games were on the system instead of copying them and aiming to make there own alterations.
I have seen the game retail at around the £13 barrier which is quite high to be honest for game which does nothing and you have no aims to achieve either.
