There are very few DS games I own that I am disappointed with but unfortunately this was one of them. I brought this game when I was a lot younger than I am now, and honestly, at first I absolutely loved it. I found it great that i could experiment with different colours and styles, and design my dream room.
It was only when i started to get a little older that i realised there was nothing really to the game. It gives you supposedly called challenges in which you have to design what the customers want following their instructions, but theres nothing challenging about it. They are so simple that the game can be completed in half an hour if you dont get bored and throw it before!
Theres only one good thing i can give to the game - and thats its price. I got mine for just over a fiver which was a bargain at the time. This game is ideal for really young children who just need something very simple to keep them entertained, but is an utter load of rubbish for anyone older. There is nothing particually baffling about this game - it is just incredibly simple.
I failed to grasp the point of this game.
I didnt get past the first ''challenge''.
I'll relate it.
You are given a picture frame to renovate.
You are told its an elderly couple who have a traditional house and like old-fashioned decor.
You are given choices like...wood, metal or plastic? Red, blue or wood-stain?
I mean its pretty obvious given the information!
I did also try the section where you could redecorate your own room, but again it seemed slow and pointless.
To be honest I am a bit baffled by this game. I was really looking forward to it when I bought it after reading lots of positive reviews but when it came I was more than a bit disapointed.
I bought imagine wedding planner at the same time, and I didnt even try that one. My friend had a quick go and said it was much the same. Too easy, not much point, little storyline and boring. No challenge.
Both games went straight to the swop shop where I got very little money in return on account of him having millions of them already!
