This is one of the greatest games and has retained a higher price of £24.98 - brand new from amazon.co.uk. This game was released way back at Christmas time in 2005. It is 2 and a half years old and still one of the greatest DS games!

It is so great to have a good Mario Kart game on the DS. What´s best is that you can take your skills online and play against the world using the DS´s wifi connection! This was the very first Mario Kart game to support online connection thanks to the DS.

The single player is excellent too. As well as the usual cups with different tracks to race on, there is more to the game. Once you have completed each cup at each class of 50cc, 100cc and 150cc on mirror mode as well, there is a mission mode to complete!

The mission mode adds so much more to the game as it is very unique to anything in any other Mario Kart game. It includes missions where you have to do complete certain tasks such as driving through 5 numbered gates in order as fast as you can in the time limit. You will get ranked from a fail (if you can´t do it in the time limit) to three stars: ***

There are ratings in-between as well such as A, B, C, D, E and F. There are different levels of the missions. At the end of each group, you have to beat the boss to complete the set. You then move onto another set of missions. It is a new and fun way to play. As well as this, there is a battle mode and you can go online to take your skills against the world! The online play works excellently and runs pretty smoothly. You each get to vote for a track, but not all the tracks from the single player are there and if there are more votes for one track than another, it will automatically choose that track.

As for the tracks themselves, there are 8 new ones and 8 remakes from past Mario Kart games. I think the way they did this is good as it brings back the classics as well as giving some variety with brand new maps. I would say this game is still very popular online and definitely worth buying if you haven´t already!
