I bought a nintendo DS mainly for this game. I'd played it on friends consoles and loved it.

It is a pretty simple racing game with all of your favourite mario charcaters. Each are different in style and appearance. You race through various levels from racetracks to castles and even a pinball machine. Along the way you can pick up different things to use as weapons against other racers. There are also bonus games and a career mode to complete. You can race for fun against the computer, other players within a distance or, if you have wireless internet, anyone in the world.

It's great fun to play and is even better to play with friends. The online play and extra games make it have a lot more to it than the simple free mode and career set up found in cheaper and older games. I would reccomned it to anyone who is looking for quite a laidback game or just something that's a bit of a laugh.
