Advantages: Challenging & Varied One player mode. Excellent Multi Player on & off line.

Disadvantages: Not many. 8 player online would improve the game

This is the most famous Kart Racing game around, and it is still the best.

With 32 tracks to race around both in normal mode (and once unlocked mirror mode doubling the game to 64 tracks) the single player game can last for some time. Once you have won all 8 Grand Prixs in the 3 different speed classes you will have unlocked all the characters & the cars. You will then have the 54 missions to try to complete.

Where this game is at it's best is in Multiplayer mode. You can play against people who haven't got a copy of the game with single card game sharing. Competing against people who have got a copy in race or battle modes. Then there is the best of all. Online play. Take on the world in races with up to 3 opponents all played by a real person. I have an 8mb speed internet connection & the game suffers no slow down at all. It is a great experience & will eat hours at a time. Just get lots of practice or face lots of defeats.

In short a really great game & one of the best on Nintendo DS, if not on every console around. If you get this & like it you could also try Diddy Kong Racing
