Advantages: Highly recommended fun time, get to chose from your favourite characters

Disadvantages: Really competitive

As you can see from the title it self named ''mario and sonic'' it will instantly tell you that nearly all the characters from the Mario world as well as the Sonic world come to life in the best of all time Olympic games. From the Mario Side contestants there are Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Peach, Daisy and from the Sonic contestants you can pick from Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Blaze, Vector, Shadow and Dr. Eggman. Each character will have a special feature of categories from Strength to Stamina to Speed.

Multi-player can allow up to 3 other people to verse you and each other from 6 events from ds download play, but if all four of you all have the game cartridge you can play all 24 Olympic events. Theres no online play through playing each other world wide, but you can upload your highest score to the outer world and make them beat your high score.

As of the Wii version they will only allow you 20 real Olympic events, where as on the DS version it lets you play up to 24 real Olympic events, as well as some made up variety of events.

There's courses from the famous track events, to hurdles, swimming, archery, canoeing, Javelin, Hammer through, High jump, triple jump Trampolining and much much more. Through these events you will get to play with the stylus, buttons and eyes! As I forgot to mention there is fencing which is brilliant, but sometimes it wont pick up the movement where you want to hit your target and so will attack in the complete opposite direction.

There's also dream events from Dream table tennis, dream canoeing, dream basketball, dream 200 meter sprint and much more. Ill have to admit the dream events are the more of the fantasy ones, not the real type of Olympic sport. But that's what a DS is for, mainly for fantasy games!

You also need in some events to clap your hands to make the crowd cheer for you, and somehow the game play makes you go faster when you have a better crowd cheer.

Overall its a pretty good game where it will give you hours of fun, joy and success as well as extremely competitive, which makes the game one of the best Games of all time for the DS.
