The film isn't bad, but unfortunately, the game is. It, in general, is very hard, and confusing. I purchased this game for £10 in argos quite a while back, and it is probably worth 10% of the retail price, which is probably what I would get for trading it in, which wouldn't pay for the bus fare there.
Gameplay is hard and confusing, especially the plot line, which I don't understand. Controls are hard to learn, with a lot of different buttons for things that I don't quite understand. I am afraid that this game is just to make a bit more revenue from the movie, and isn't exactly worthy of being called a game, maybe an interactive video.
In single player, the main is game is not at all good, for the reasons above. You play the role of Wilbur Robinson, and you try to defeat the mad guy with a hat, in a variety of levels and terrain. There is another mode in single player call charge ball, this is like a futuristic pong, and this in my opinion is better than the main game and it can get quite addictive. This mode is also available on wireless multiplayer, so you are able to challenge your mates, which isn't a bad thing to include.
*Graphics and Audio*
They are pixelated in very game boy colour like, they aren't at all good enough for this generation of gaming, even if it's the DS. Very blocky, and colours aren't really that realistic, like having walls that are the same colour of the floor...
Audio is annoying. The main game is accompanied by a few stupid backing tunes, which sound like have been done on a keyboard by a 10 year old. Both graphics and audio in this game are below average.
Overall a poor effort by Disney, and for £5, at the moment, the game is about £4 too much. Not recommended.
