Many gamers will admit that when they heard news of rookie developing studio Retro tackling such a venerable franchise as Metroid and attempting to transition it to a 3D title, they were dismayed. What were the chances that Retro could pull it off? To be honest, very slim. And yet, many gamers will also admit their shock -- and delight -- when the game was released and met with critical acclaim from nearly every major review source. Somehow, Retro had done the impossible and created a Metroid world that was nostalgically similar to that we all knew -- and at the same time something brilliant and new and all its own. So, is it any real surprise that gamers were ... Read the complete review

I got this game on release date ordered from amazon.co.uk. I knew it was going to be a good one so I pre-ordered it and waited. I was right. This game is a very well-made game for the Nintendo DS, and works very well. It is a big game with loads to do with an in depth single player with levels of amazing size along with intense multiplayer action against bots, or against the world from the comfort of your own home. There is a load to do in this game and it is really fun, but not an easy one. The difficulty of some parts makes it a great game to get addicted to and keep trying, as it doesn't get boring. This game is stunning for such a small ... Read the complete review

I bought this game a while back and I have to say, it's one of the most impressive DS games out there! Even if you're not into the Metroid series (like me), this game is excellent to play and really enjoyable. You fight through several planets/locations to defeat bosses, which unlocks you their character to be used in other parts of the game. The ultimate objective is to obtain the 8 crystals scattered around each level. The game is fantastic in the way you can walk around enormous levels in 1st person view with no loading times at all. By progressing through the games and unlocking new guns, you get access to new places. There are many different ... Read the complete review

As in the other Metroid games, you play as Samus Aran, a female bounty hunter. You being by scanning around the Alimbic Cluster for planets, from which you need to collect 8 octoliths from for the ultimate power. You soon find that there are other bounty hunters racing you for these octolith artifacts in order to find an ultimate power. These enemies all have different strengths, weaknesses, weapons and characteristics, and all steal your octoliths if they beat you in battle. This means you'll have to later recover that octolith too. The control system in this may seem slightly confusing and complex, but once you get used to it allows for ... Read the complete review

This is the full version of the demo that was released with the launch of nintendo ds. Hunters puts you in the role of Samus as she hunts down powerful artifacts left behind by a civilization known as the Alimbics. Hunters is played through the first-person perspective. And the game uses the stylus more efficiently you have complete control aiming by sliding the stylus across the screen. The Game Itself Is Quite Big with a selection of full levels and an array of bosses enemies and weapons to play around with. The Multiplayer aspect takes full advantage of the DS's Wireless and Wi-Fi capabilities by enabling amazing MP by matching you up ... Read the complete review
